Trip Review

As I promised in my last post today would be about the recent trip the family took to Walt Disney World. I can truly say it was unlike any other trip to WDW I have ever took.

First off it only was the three of us (Jule, Wyatt and myself) while my daughter took care of the animals and my other son was staying at his apartment. We stayed at a new resort for us, Pop Century. For the three of us it was perfect, except that Wyatt fell out of the bed and cut his eye. I liked the access to the Skyliner which we took to EPCOT on our second day of the trip. We hit all four parks plus Disney Springs on our first night and last day. We ate at Paradiso 37, had dessert at the Salt and Straw, we also ate at The Plaza, Sleepy Hollow and the Boathouse. As for attractions we experienced the new Remy's ride along with Soarin' , Spaceship Earth, and Living With the Land at EPCOT. We also listened to the Voices of America and watched Harmonious. At the Magic Kingdom we hit Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Carousel of Progress. I went onto Tom Sawyers Island while Wyatt and mom enjoyed the AC in the Hall of Presidents. I watched the parade and the new stage show in front of the castle as I took photos. Hollywood Studios our first day spot saw us hit up Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway as well as Slinky Dog Dash. Again it allowed me some photo opportunities as well as some retail therapy (as did all of the parks) before we headed to our room and to Disney Springs for dinner. Our last day was spent briefly in Animal Kingdom and then off to Disney Springs for lunch and a few other retail establishments.

Funny thing happened on our last day we by chance met up with two families that we knew. One family from North Carolina and one from Illinois. We were heading back to the entrance in Animal Kingdom and I heard someone yell "Pete" and it was a colleague from work and her family. In Disney Springs there was a bunch of people with blue shirts that had a dance studio's name on it in Disney Script and it happened to be someone from Jule's hometown.
