Week Two

 January 8, 2022

What a week. Came home from Florida on Monday, went back to work for a half day on Tuesday and Jule had surgery on her sinuses on Wednesday and was admitted to the hospital later that afternoon. She had pneumonia which meant I had both Thursday and Friday off. Jule is home and recovering. 

That was my quick recap I have done a lot of thinking this past week and my bible reading this past week dealt with normal life versus better than normal life. We live in a world but are not of this world. Living a "normal" life is typical but our normal changes when the majority accepts things as new normals. How many times have we said that life was different twenty years ago or heard about the GOOD OLD DAYS. What we as Christians should strive for is a life better than normal. This life has only one Lord and Savior and that is Jesus Christ.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Trip Review

 As I promised in my last post today would be about the recent trip the family took to Walt Disney World. I can truly say it was unlike any other trip to WDW I have ever took.  First off it only was the three of us (Jule, Wyatt and myself) while my daughter took care of the animals and my other son was staying at his apartment. We stayed at a new resort for us, Pop Century. For the three of us it was perfect, except that Wyatt fell out of the bed and cut his eye. I liked the access to the Skyliner which we took to EPCOT on our second day of the trip. We hit all four parks plus Disney Springs on our first night and last day. We ate at Paradiso 37, had dessert at the Salt and Straw, we also ate at The Plaza, Sleepy Hollow and the Boathouse. As for attractions we experienced the new Remy's ride along with Soarin' , Spaceship Earth, and Living With the Land at EPCOT. We also listened to the Voices of America and watched Harmonious. Week Nine

 February 26, 2022 Today would have been my father's 104th birthday. Ironically I am going to be going to a visitation for a mom of a friend and a celebration of life for a little girl who left this world at four. Both are enjoying being with Jesus and doing things that could not be done here on Earth by the frailties that hindered them both. One who had limits here whole life and one who had the limits that age puts upon us if we are blessed to reach that age. I do not want this to be sad but it is hard to think of things other than this when in a week I know of the two mentioned above and a sweet girl who went to meet Jesus and her sister who preceded her. Her family is planning a celebration of life in mid-March. The most positive thing I can say is that my faith tells me that one day we will all meet in heaven.  It just makes you hug your love ones a bit longer and remind them that they are loved daily and not cry over the small things.  For those of you who do not kn...
